Off-campus housing gives you the power to choose what amenities are important to you! Some popular amenities are an in-home washer and dryer, an apartment pool, or a dog park. If you like to grill, Forest Hills even has an outdoor grilling area and community fire pit.

Off-Campus Housing Can be Pet Friendly 

Sometimes, the thing you need as a student is to hang out with a dog and get some quality puppy snuggles in! Being a student is stressful, and dogs can help reduce stress and provide companionship. Not all apartments are pet-friendly, and on-campus housing especially has strict regulations on what pets are allowed. Apartment communities usually have a pet policy that lists the number of pets allowed per apartment, weight restrictions, breed restrictions, if a deposit is required, and what monthly pet rent is. At Forest Hills you don't have to worry about if your dog can come with you! We don't have any dog breed or weight restrictions!

Living off campus, you can enjoy having a bathroom to yourself or sharing with just 1 or 2 other people, and have a full kitchen at your disposal, including a dishwasher that can save you so much time!  

Another great flexibility is that instead of having to move every school year if you rent an apartment, you don’t have to go through all the stress and expenses associated with moving. Additionally, if you find a job or internship in the summer in Wilmington, you won’t have to find new housing in the area.

Forest Hills Apartments is only 2.6 miles away from UNC Wilmington, which is approximately an 8-minute drive. 

Do You Offer Student Discounts? 

YES! With your current acceptance letter and student plan, Forest Hills Apartments will gladly offer you $200 OFF your first full month’s rent AND half off application and administrative fees to all UNC Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College students! 

Do You Rent Apartments by the Bedroom? 

No – we do not rent per bedroom at Forest Hills Apartments. 

Do You Have Flexible Leases? 

We do offer flexible lease terms upon request and availability. Our professional leasing team can share updated policies and lease terms. 

When Can I Move In? How Does Move In Work? 

We offer a flexible move-in schedule to all of our future residents. Our team can reserve your home for up to 10 days once it is ready for move-in. We will prepare everything you need for your arrival; let us know what date and time within our office hours works best for you. 

How Does Income Verification Work for Students?
If a student has no income or does not meet the income requirements, we can add a Guarantor to the lease. An approved Guarantor will be financially responsible for the lease.
